Kylesa Premiere “We’re Taking This” Via Noisey; Full Album Stream via Pitchfork on May 16

The song comes from the Savannah band’s forthcoming album, Ultraviolet, which is available for pre-order via Season of Mist’s e-shop (  Pitchfork will feature the album in its entirety beginning May 16. Release date is May 28 via Season of Mist.
Kylesa recently announced a Spring tour, which kicks off on May 10 in Gainesville, Fla. at The High Dive.  Openers are Bloody Ceremony, White Hills and Lazer/Wulf.  Tickets are on-sale now.
We’re Taking This” is the fourth track to be previewed from the forthcoming album.  Loudwire previewed “Vulture’s Landing” earlier this month ( with Stereogum listing the song at #1 on their Month in Metal feature saying the band is “bringing more esoteric influences to the fore of their writing. Once again, Laura Pleasants is handling vocal duties, and I love the way her increasingly ethereal coo is juxtaposed against the churning instrumental grind.”  Spin previously premiered “Quicksand” ( saying the song  “joins the melodies of ‘90s shoegaze with the churn of modern sludge.”  Season of Mist unveiled “Unspoken” via the label’s Soundcloud player ( upon news of an Ultraviolet release date.  Pitchfork called the track “a heaving, goth-metal juggernaut.”
