Mogwai’s Rave Tapes Streaming via Soundcloud

Seattle, Jan.14, 2013 – Mogwai’s forthcoming album Rave Tapes, which is set for a Jan. 21 release via Sub Pop, is streaming now via SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/rock-action-records/sets/mogwai-rave-tapes/s-Xg3A4).
Returning to North American in April, the band will play Coachella on Saturdays, April 12 and 19.  Following the Southern California performances, Mogwai kick off a five-week trek across North America on April 21 at the Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque.
The band’s eighth studio album, Rave Tapes was recorded over the summer in the band’s Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow and reunites the band with Hardcore Will Never Die But You Will Co-Producer Paul Savage. “They sound leaner and more quietly aggressive than ever,” says Q Magazine in their four-star review of Rave Tapes.  Mojo, who also awarded the 10-song release a four-star review said the new music plays “gloriously with perspective, swooping over twinkling lights, then down into the distorted black water.”
CD and vinyl pre-orders, including a limited edition deluxe box set, are available via Sub Pop (https://megamart.subpop.com/releases/mogwai/rave_tapes).  A digital pre-order, which includes immediate downloads of “Remurdered” and “The Lord Is Out of Control,” is available via iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/rave-tapes/id742963291).
