THE PACK A.D. PREMIERE “ANIMAL” VIA FILTER; ANNOUNCE ADDITIONAL TOUR DATES INCLUDING SXSW PERFORMANCE

“DO NOT ENGAGE” SET FOR JAN. 28 RELEASE
Jan. 14, 2013, LOS ANGELES – The Pack A.D., the Canadian garage rock combo featuring Becky Black and Maya Miller, premiere “Animal,” a new single from their forthcoming album Do Not Engage (Jan. 28, Nettwerk), via Filter Magazine (http://filtermagazine.com/index.php/media/entry/listen_the_pack_a.d._get_heavy_with_animal_filter_premiere ).
The pair, who have been described as “a fantastically gritty rock duo” (NPR) and “the equivalent of a sonic knuckle sandwich” (Exclaim), have also added three weeks of dates to their previously announced 2014 North American tour with new dates including a stop at SXSW as well as headlining dates in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and an extensive number of Canadian performances.
The Pack A.D. have released two videos from Do Not Engage: a comical clip featuring yetis for “Big Shot” (http://youtu.be/SDYgdiAyV_A) and a video for “Battering Ram” (http://youtu.be/1YfDSS9_kfI) that MTV Iggy described as “So, a knife-swallower, a contortionist, and two bad-ass rockers walk into a bar…”. Last Call with Carson Daly profiled Becky and Maya in the fall, with both an interview and live footage: http://www.nbc.com/last-call-with-carson-daly/video/the-pack-ad/n42195/.
Do Not Engage was produced by Jim Diamond (White Stripes, The Mooney Suzuki, Dirtbombs) and recorded in a Motor City chicken-processing plant.  Pre-sales for the 11-song release are available now via iTunes with an immediate download of songs “Big Shot” and “Battering Ram”: http://smarturl.it/donotengage.
