Electric Wizard Short Film for “SadioWitch” via Revolver; Decibel Cover In-Stores

LONDON, Sept. 8, 2014 – Electric Wizard have premiered a visual piece for SadioWitch, a song from their forthcoming full-length Time to Die (Sept. 30, Spinefarm Records), via Revolver Magazine (http://www.revolvermag.com/news/electric-wizard-premiere-new-music-video-sadiowitch.html).

According to Wizard vocalist / guitarist Jus Oborn, the footage – captured in
various locations, including Iceland – features “Clandestinely filmed scenes of Luciferian depravity” of the kind “long-awaited by the diehard cult of Wizard fans… A visual amalgamation of Kenneth Anger’s psychedelic occultism, the monomania of Jess Franco and the unbridled excess of Robert Hartford Davies, documenting fully the pleasures of the flesh, drugs and sadism… as they really happen today…”

The UK doom progenitors are featured on the current cover of Decibel Magazine (http://store.decibelmagazine.com/collections/back-issues/products/october-2014-120) while The Guardian said “Lots of bands make claims to be the heaviest of all, but only Electric Wizard really qualify for the title. Masters of crushing doom metal and sinister B-movie kitsch, the British veterans are more popular than ever right now, and new album Time to Die looks certain to be their biggest to date. A slow-motion, Sabbathian horror show thrumming with drug-ravaged psychedelic menace and bulging with hypnotic riffs”

Pre-orders for highly limited (500 copies, available Oct. 21) SadioWitch 7-inch, as well as Time to Die bundles, are also available via the Electric Wizard website. Digital pre-orders for the album are available via iTunes (http://smarturl.it/EZTimeToDie_iTunes) and Amazon (http://amzn.com/B00LWNW33Q).

The band previously unveiled a video for “I Am Nothing,” which can be seen here: http://youtu.be/mDo2Ujb7i3A.
