May 30, 2025, San Clemente, Calif. – Tunnel Vision, the rising SoCal band born out of the coast’s surf and skate culture, team up with genre-blending artist DENM for “This Is My Life“ (https://youtu.be/Yk7j2xll_Cc) a summer-ready anthem celebrating freedom, self-expression, and laid-back beach town vibes.

Tunnel Vision and DENM give “This Is My Life” its live debut on Sunday, June 8, lighting up the main stage at Cali Vibes 2025 in Long Beach, Calif.

“’This Is My Life” is a track about rebellion – that ‘I’m gonna do what I want’ feeling we all get when someone tells us what we should or shouldn’t do with our lives,” says Tunnel Vision singer/guitarist Hayden Hanson. “It’s about rolling the dice and going for it. For me, that meant going all in on music.”

The collaboration with fellow Southern Californian DENM came together naturally. “We were hanging out and played him the track,” Hanson adds. “He vibed, so we got in the studio a few days later and brought it to life.”

The result is a seamless blend of Tunnel Vision’s surf/skate energy and DENM’s coastal alt-pop feel, delivering a song that feels tailor-made for road trips, bonfires, and backyard hangs.

Tunnel Vision emerged from longtime friends Hayden Hanson (singer/guitarist) and Jacob Hernandez’s (bass) experiences surfing at classic spots like San Clemente Pier, State Park, Trestles, and T-street, as well as skating iconic bowls throughout Southern California. Immersed in the SoCal vibe, the band was heavily influenced by the punk rock, reggae, and ska music of bands like Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, NoFX, and Rancid. In 2015, they connected with Slightly Stoopid who invited them to record the rest of their album at their “The Lab” Studios in San Diego. Tunnel Vision’s self-titled debut album rolled out later that year followed by . The band would then self-produce, record and fund the album Days Away before taking the finished product to LAW Records, who immediately signed them, impressed by their crafted new sound influenced and paying homage to the classic SoCal bands. Shortly after, LAW Records would release the band’s EP, Shipwrecked which saw radio play at LA’s famous KROQ and placement on Spotify’s curated ‘Beach Vibes’ playlist.

Fusing surf, reggae, punk, and pop with sun-soaked grit and hard-earned wisdom, DENM delivers a distinctly modern SoCal soundtrack. A longtime creative force in the indie scene, DENM’s journey spans from a troubled teen bouncing from beach town to beach town to becoming a self-taught musician and respected collaborator, working with the likes of Rock Mafia and Dirty Heads’ Jared Watson. His music draws inspiration from his time up and down the West Coast, deeply authentic and eclectic. DENM’s music is a reflection of the artist whose vision, hustle, and heart are as undeniable as the sunshine that inspires him.
